22nd March 2007: Inquiry start date announced:

July is an important month for TSLM and its supporters. The long awaited public inquiry into the Northern route debacle is set to begin on July 3^rd, and is anticipated to last for 24 days.

TSLM is gearing up to play a leading part; we have so much to say about the failings of the monster road. We fully expect that Lancashire County Council will lavish yet more taxpayers’ money on hired guns to defend their flimsy plan. Accordingly, we are out to raise money to pay for technical experts and legal support, so that we can make sure that we see off the destructive road, once and for all.

Our district needs you to play your part. Please make sure that you write to the case officer for the public inquiry objecting to the plan, along the lines we suggested earlier. Having done that, we need you to dig deep into your pocket and contribute to our campaign fund. All contributions are important to ensure that we put up the best possible case against the road plan.
